Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS): Deleting Schedules

Q: How do I delete a schedule? 
In Schedules, hover over the schedule you want to delete and click on the trash can icon on the top right corner. If you don't see the icon, contact our support team. 

Q: When is it recommended to delete schedules? 
We recommend deleting a schedule when you either create it to test and try Scheduling and Time Tracking or if it was created by accident. When deleting a schedule, all shifts and all time entries created from those shifts will also be deleted. 

Q: Can I delete schedules with employee time entries that have gone through to payroll? 
We don’t recommend deleting any data that could impact employees' payment records and hours tracking. 

Q: Which time entries will be deleted? 
All time entries in Time Approval generated by shifts associated with the schedule will be deleted. 

Q: Can I delete shifts only, not the time entries? 
Not at the moment. 

Q: Who can delete schedules? 
Any user with the Delete schedules permission can delete schedules.  

Q: Can I recover the shifts or time entries after deletion?
Once deleted, shifts and time entries are hard to bring back. If you deleted information by mistake, contact our support team immediately. There are no guarantees we’ll be able to recover your data, but we’ll try our best.
