Q: What is Single Sign-On?
A: Single Sign-On (SSO) refers to signing in and accessing Rise Payroll and HR platform via one set of credentials. Earlier, you had to login to each platform separately. As a Payroll admin and HR user, you can now login to both products using your HR credentials.
Q: How is the new SSO login page different from the original Payroll login?
A: Originally, the Payroll login had just the payroll credential option.
Now, the new login page has two options:
- Log in to Payroll, in the event you are only using Payroll, or
- Log in with SSO - If you have both HR and Payroll products
When logging in with SSO you will be redirected to a new login page to enter your HR credentials.
Q: Who has access to SSO?
A: If you are a Payroll administrator as well as an HR user, you will have access to SSO.
Q: Now that I have SSO, can I still use my Payroll credentials to log into Payroll?
A: When you first login, you will see two options: Login to Payroll or Log in with SSO. When you enter your Payroll credentials and click Log In to Payroll, you’ll be redirected to the new SSO login page. Here you will be prompted to enter your HR credentials. When logging into either Payroll or HR you will need to use your HR credentials.
Q: How come I only see one option to login?
A: If your SSO has been enabled you will only see one login. The next time you go to the Payroll page you’ll be prompted to enter your HR credentials.
Q: If I log out of HR, would I be logged out of Payroll as well?
A: Yes, once you log out of one platform you will automatically be logged out of both. This is known as Single Logout (SLO).
Q: What happens if I no longer use Rise HR but I am still using Rise Payroll?
A: In the event you do not want to use Rise HR, you can still retain your SSO credentials for Payroll login.
Q: I use Payroll as well as Benefits product, but I do not use Rise HR. Is it possible to use SSO feature?
A: Yes, you can use your Benefits credentials to log into Payroll.
