Create an offer letter token
Tokens are used to customize offers by automatically filling in relevant information such as the candidate’s name, salary, and start date. When a template contains tokens, you will be prompted to fill in the token values before creating an offer that uses that template.
To create a token:
1. Navigate to Recruiting, then under Offers, click Tokens.
2. Click + Create Token.
3. Under Field Name, give your new token a name.
4. From the Type dropdown, select the token’s type. You have four options:
Single Choice:
The Single Choice type allows the user who sends the offer to select a value from up to five preset options. In the fields below Type, enter the options you want the offer sender to choose from. Add new options by typing in the empty field, and delete options by clicking the trash icon.
An example of how Single Choice can be used would be the new hire’s employment type, which could be full-time, part-time, or contract.
Note that a token’s type cannot be changed after it has been created.
5. Once you’ve finished creating your new token, click Save.
