How to manage overtime settings
Overtime is a part of Hours Classification settings. To learn more about these settings, check out our About Hours Classification article. You’re able to control overtime settings for each Payroll organization connected to Time Tracking. 1. In the Overtime section, click the Pencil icon beside the payroll organization overtime you wish to modify.
2. Choose your Overtime calculation type for 3 or 4 week accumulations. Choose Fixed to calculate a fixed overtime period of 3 or 4 weeks from the overtime start date. Choose Rolling to calculate a rolling overtime period spanning the current week and 3 weeks prior to the current week.
3. If you selected Fixed in Step 2, choose your Overtime start date for fixed calculation type.
4. If you selected Rolling in Step 2, choose your Overtime weekly start day to define a week. For example, if you select Monday, then Monday-Sunday will be considered a week.
5. Next, choose your Overtime reset time to define a workday. This prevents the employee from accruing daily overtime if they have multiple shifts in a day. The default overtime reset time is midnight.
6. Click Save to apply your settings.
