What if I don't want statutory holidays to apply to my company?

Use default regional and statutory holidays

By default, Rise Time Off automatically accounts for any statutory and regional holidays that apply to Canadian employees. For example, when an employee books a vacation over Victoria Day, that day will not get subtracted from their balance.

Important: This feature works based on the employee’s Region of Employment rather than their address. Each person’s Region of Employment is set on their Employee Profile > Work tab.

If you’d like, you can disable this setting. Here’s how:

1. Navigate to Settings.

2. Click on App Settings.

3. Scroll down to Default Regional Holidays, and remove the checkbox.

Set “For Canadian employees, automatically select statutory holidays based on region?” as unchecked.

4. Click Save.
