What's new in Time Approval 2.0?

Welcome to the new Time Approval 2.0 — a refreshed experience designed to give time approvers more flexibility, control, and clarity than ever before. Rise built this update with one goal in mind: to make time review more efficient, customizable, and future-ready, no matter the size or complexity of your team.

Check out some of the major updates below.

Expanded table view:

Use the expanded table view to maximize the number of rows & columns displayed, eliminating the need to side-scroll! Use the toggle button found directly next to the bulk actions feature.

Bi-weekly view:

You can now view time entries in a bi-weekly format, in addition to the daily and weekly views you’re used to.

Looking for a specific employee? Use the search bar to quickly find them—no more endless scrolling.

Team filter:

You can now filter entries by Team, along with Location, Department, Status, and Match Status.

  • Click on Filter

  • Choose which category of filter

  • Enter or select the value you want to filter to

Quick add feature toggle

Love the Quick Add feature but don’t want to see empty date rows? Use the toggle to:

  • Show all dates with empty time entry fields

  • Hide dates that don’t have entries

Choose what works best for you.

Display all dates:

Hide dates:

More details drawer

Some notes might be too long to show in the main table. Open the More Details drawer to see the full note without losing context. Curious about the status of a time entry? Use the new audit trail within the drawer to identify how or when a time entry was created, and who approved it!

Tip: You can hide the Notes column(s) using the Manage columns feature, and still see all the applicable notes in the drawer!

Bulk approve, unapprove, and delete

Save time with bulk actions. Select the time entries you want, and then choose:

  • Approve

  • Unapprove

  • Delete

These options are available at the top right of the table.

Caution & Warning Messages

Get visual indicators that provide additional context such as time entries that contain missing punches, unscheduled punches, or punches outside of match tolerances. These alerts help you spot and resolve issues before approving time entries.
