How to pay an employee with a mid period raise

Hourly employee with mid-period change

1. Make sure you have updated the employee profile to show the new compensation (tutorial here).

2. Create your next regular payroll (tutorial here). If you had already created the input sheet, you will need to "refresh" the employee.

3. You will see two entries on the input sheet - one at the old rate, and one at the new rate. Ensure you enter the correct hours into each, and the employee will be appropriately paid.



Salary employee with a mid-period change

1. Make sure you have updated the employee profile to show the new compensation (tutorial here).

2. Create your next regular payroll (tutorial here). If you had already created the input sheet, you will need to "refresh" the employee.

3. You will see one entry on the input sheet and the Reg. Salary Pay rate will be a blended rate. If you hover on the rate you will get more information on what is being calculated.


4. If you want to override with your own calculation, use the tutorial here to make a one-time compensation over-ride.
