How to create classification tags

How to create classification tags

Classification tags are a part of Hours Classification settings. To learn more about these settings, check out our About Hours Classification article.

Classification tags help determine when hours should be paid differently. The tags determine which pay rules to applied to the shift.
For example, classification tags can be used in shift premiums on top of regular or overtime. The most commonly use case for classification tags is "training". After setting the tag "training" and connecting it to a pay rule and pay class, any shift or time entries with this tag will be paid differently.

For help with classification tags, check out our How to create classification tags and How to create and modify pay rules articles.
