Templates make it easy to keep performance reviews consistent and make setting up a review cycle easy. You can create custom templates for your review cycles, or use the ones created by Rise People. Templates can be reused in your next performance review cycle—for example, if you’d like to evaluate a team based on the same set of questions every quarter.

3. On the Templates page, you’ll see all the templates you’ve created and Rise’s preloaded templates. You’ll be able to see how many questions are in each template and who created it.
4. Click + Add template to create a custom template.

6. On the right-hand side, you’ll see a list of questions from the question bank. You can filter the questions based on the self-review, manager review and peer review tags and view details such as the answer type. Click the question, then click + Add to template to add it to your template. You can add an unlimited number of questions to your template. To learn more about creating or modifying questions, check out our How to add questions in the question bank article.

7. Once you’re done adding questions, you can change their order by using the arrows underneath the question number.

8. To delete a question, click the trash icon.

9. Once completed, click Save.

10. Click the template to view questions or make any changes.

11. To duplicate a template, click the three dots next to the template you wish to clone, then click Duplicate template. The duplicate template will be named “Copy of” followed by the name of the source template.
To edit the name of your new template, click on it to open the editing window. Once you’ve changed your template’s name, click Save.
Once you’ve created the templates you need, the next step is to create a performance review cycle. To learn how to create a review cycle, check out our
