How to manage timesheet settings in Rise Scheduling & Time Tracking

1. In Scheduling, click Time Tracking Settings on the navigation menu on the left-hand side.


Timesheet Settings

Timesheet Settings determine which pay classes use timesheets and what pay codes are available to employees within Timesheets. Owners or Admins have the access to modify the settings. Employees can assign pay codes to their time records under Classification in Timesheets. 2. To modify the timesheet settings, click the pencil icon.


3. Use the dropdowns to choose pay classes and pay codes. Next, click Save.


Billing Codes

The billing information includes client names, billing codes, and work codes. A billing code is the purchase or invoice order number, whereas work code is the deliverable or the work performed. Employees and managers can select the appropriate codes while completing the timesheets and time approvals. 

4. To manage client names, click the pencil icon.


5. To add or remove a client, click the + or - button. Once completed, click Save.


6. To manage billing codes, click the pencil icon.


7. To add or remove a billing code, click the + or -  button. Once completed, click Save.


8. To manage work codes, click the pencil icon.


9.  To add or remove a work code, click the + or -  button. Once completed, click Save.


Punch access settings

Through Punch access settings, you can set up rules to ensure that employees are at their workplace when they punch in or out .You can set up rules for employees for both mobile and web based punch methods. 

10. Through Mobile Access Settings, you can enable the use of location and/or IP address to ensure employees punch into shifts at their authorized location or workplace via My Schedule in their mobile app. To learn more about how to add IP addresses, check out the Add IP addresses section of this article. To manage mobile access settings, click the pencil icon.


11. Select Allow employees to punch in from mobile app checkbox to allow employees to punch in or out of their shifts through the mobile app. Select Use locations (geofencing) to ensure employees punch at their workplace and/or Use IP address to ensure employees punch at their workplace checkboxes to use location and/or IP address to validate employee punches, and click Save.


12. Through Web Access Settings, you can set up IP address to ensure employees punch in and out  at their workplace. To manage web access settings, click the pencil icon.


13. Select the Allow employees to punch in from web checkbox to allow employees to punch in or out of their shifts online. If you don’t select this checkbox, employees wouldn’t be able to punch through My Schedule. Select the Use IP address to ensure employees punch at their workplace checkbox to use an IP address to validate employee punches, and click Save.


14. Through Add IP addresses, you can create a list of IP addresses your employees can punch from. Click + Add new IP address to add an IP address.


15.  Select the appropriate option from Single IPv4, Range of IPv4, Single IPv6, Range of IPv6. Then, enter the IP address and click Save.
