My Timesheet lets employees enter time for missed punches. Employees can also view and edit shift information, and submit time for approval.
1. In Scheduling, click My Timesheet on the navigation menu on the left-hand side.
2. You’ll see a detailed timesheet with punch in and punch out times. The time entries can be from:
Punch in or out on scheduled shifts in My Schedule
Punch in or out on unscheduled shifts in My Schedule
Hardware clock punches
Manual entries
You’ll also see unpaid breaks, shift durations, notes, classification, and billing codes. You can add, edit, and submit time in your timesheet. At the top of the timesheet, you’ll see your scheduled and worked hours for the date range.
3. Click the arrows on either side of the date range to view the timesheet for the prior and upcoming weeks.
4. If you didn’t punch in and out, you’ll see the default shift start and end time logged in the timesheet. You can modify the time entry and add classifications such as sick time.
If you punched in for a shift and didn’t punch out, you’ll see the start time logged in the timesheet. The end time automatically defaults to the shift end time. In this case, you can only edit your end time.
If you punched in and out, you’ll see the start and end time logged in the timesheet. In this case, the time entry is final and cannot be modified.
5. You can also track your hours in the timesheet by recording the total duration of your shift rather than the start and end times. To do so, first make sure that the Start Time, End Time, and Unpaid Break boxes are empty, then add the duration of your shift in hours and minutes.
6. To add a shift, go to the date you wish to add a shift to and click the + icon.
7. You’ll see a new row with a shift added for the date.
8. To delete a shift, click the 3 dots in the shift’s row and click Delete. You can’t delete a shift if you didn’t create it.
9. You can edit the start time, end time, and the unpaid break of the shift. You can also add notes to the shift for your manager to review.
10. To add hours classification to the shift, use the dropdown to choose the type applicable to the shift. You can select only one classification per row.
To add another classification for a shift on the same day, navigate to the date and click the + icon.
You’ll see a new row with a shift added for the date. Here you can fill in the details and choose a different classification (e.g. sick time).
To change the department for your shift, click the dropdown and choose the department.
11. To add a classification tag to a shift, use the dropdown to choose the tag applicable to the shift. To learn more about classification tags, check out our How to create classification tags article.
14. To submit your time, click the checkmark. You cannot submit time if the Start Time or End Time is blank.
15. Once you submit your time, you can’t make any changes to it. When the time is approved, the shift will be greyed out in the timesheet.
