Manage an in-progress review cycle

Manage an in-progress review cycle

1. In People Management, navigate to Performance by clicking the icon in the left-hand navigation bar.

2. In the Performance menu on the left-hand side, under Manage Performance, click Review Cycles.

3. Click the arrow beside the review cycle you wish to view.

4. You’ll be taken to the Overview tab. In this tab, you will see a card for each phase of the review cycle. On each card, you’ll see the name of the window, the open date for the window, and the close date for the window.

On these cards, you’ll also be able to see how many selections, reviews, and summaries are ‘Not started,’ ‘In progress,’ or ‘Complete.’ For peer selection, you’ll see ‘Not started’ and ‘Complete’.

  1. Not started shows the number of participants who haven’t begun the window’s task.

  2. In progress shows the number of participants who have partially completed their reviews, ie. have answered some questions in their review, but not all of them. This option doesn’t display for peer selection, as the task is considered complete as soon as one peer is selected.

  3. Completed shows the number of participants who have completed their tasks for the window.

5. In the Participants tab, you’ll see a complete list of participants for the review, what types of reviews they’ve been assigned, and the status of their review tasks.

If you want to see how much of their review a participant has completed, you can click the three dots beside their name and click View to view their answers, selections, or summaries so far.

If you’d like to nudge a participant and send them a reminder email to complete their review tasks, click the three dots beside their name and click Nudge. You can nudge a participant once every 24 hours.

To nudge all participants and send them a reminder email to complete their review tasks, click the three dots beside Edit review cycle and click Nudge all. You can nudge all participants once every 24 hours.

To remove a participant from the review cycle, follow the steps in our article on How to remove a participant from a review cycle. To edit a participant's reviewer, follow the steps in our How to edit a participant's reviewers article.

6. You can also close the review cycle early or extend the close date of a review cycle. To do this, click Edit review cycle.

7. Click Timing in the left-hand navigation bar and change the dates as needed. Note that if you do this, any participants who haven’t finished their reviews won’t be able to, and participants for that window won’t be able to change their answers once the close date passes. Also note that each window has to end before the next one begins.

For help with changing timing check out our How to create a review cycle article.
