How to apply Billing Codes in Time Approval

The billing information includes client names, billing codes, and work codes. A billing code is the purchase or invoice order number, whereas work code is the deliverable or the work performed. In Time Approval, you are able to add and edit Billing Codes as needed.

1. To edit billing information, click the pencil icon beside the billing code box in the shift you wish to edit. You can only edit a Billing Code if the shift hasn’t been approved. To unapprove a shift, click the three dots, then click Unapprove.

2. In the pop-up, use the dropdowns to choose which Client, Billing Code, and Work Code are applicable for the shift. For help setting these up, check out our How to manage timesheet settings in Rise Scheduling & Time Tracking article.

3. If necessary, enter the mileage for the shift. You can only use numbers and decimal points in this box.

4. Enter any notes you might have for the shift’s billing information.

5. Click Save.

6. The Billing Code information will appear beside the shift on the Time Approval sheet.
